Ever since the first time she touched a ball when she was five years old, Kelsey Blair has loved basketball. Following her passion for the game, she played varsity basketball at the University of British Columbia for five years, where she was named Canadian CIS National Rookie of the Year and won two national championships.
“Author Kelsey Blair knows basketball and how to tell a story”
– Lesley Little, Resource Links
She went on to play semi-professional basketball in Sweden. Currently, Kelsey researches basketball for her PhD dissertation, coaches youth and women’s basketball in Vancouver, is an Executive of the Board of Basketball BC, and still plays recreational basketball several times a week!
Drawing from these experiences, Kelsey writes sport’s novels that combine basketball action with stories about setting goals, handling disappointment, and navigating old and new friendships.
